Memorial Day unofficially marks the beginning of summer. Warmer temps have arrived, the kids are out of school (or almost!), and, hopefully, a vacation is just around the corner. What are your plans for summer vacation? Are you heroically attempting a family road trip, hoping for a relaxing beach getaway, or taking a much-needed staycation? From the Big Apple to the Rocky Mountains, the ProTradeNet team is ready to soak up a little bit of the summer sun!
We are going to down to Galveston to relax at the beach for a week.
— Christina McEwen, financial reporting manager
My girlfriend and I are going to Denver for some R & R and some summer fun in the mountains. We plan on hiking, rafting, zip lining, and attending concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
— Andrew Bush, procurement agent
This summer, I plan to take a few days off and go to Hunt, Texas — my favorite place on earth. I plan to sit in the Guadalupe River and soak up the sun.
My husband and I are headed for New York City! While we’re there, we’re going to see a few Broadway shows, visit several museums and the Statue of Liberty, check out the High Line, and eat a ton of awesome food.

We just remodeled our entire house — and we had to live in a hotel for over a month! Our plan is to just stay home, save money, and enjoy!
— Jennifer Dawson, franchisee relations coordinator
My husband’s and my anniversary is July 11, so we always try to celebrate it in some way. This year, we hope to go to New Orleans. Neither of us has ever been before, and we love Cajun food!
My wife, kids, and I are taking a trip to Boston, Massachusetts for a family reunion. We’re going to go a day ahead to do some sightseeing with just immediate family.
— Jake Myers, franchisee relations coordinator
We’re staying cool and introducing the little to fun in the pool! We’re going to Horseshoe Bay with our friends that have a little girl the same age as our daughter, Norah. The dads will hit up the golf course, and the mamas will hit the spa! Can’t wait!
— Brandi Haslam, Director of Vendor and Franchisee Relationships
We’re spending a week in Boston sightseeing, spending time with family, and whatever else you do in Boston. Mostly my summer plans will include time at the pool, house projects, and hopefully some great adventure in the wilderness.
