Spring is here, and the PTN team can’t wait to get outside! From camping to gardening to taking bluebonnet photos, each member of the PTN team and their families have a few favorite ways to celebrate the season. What activities do you and your family plan to enjoy?
We love camping. In fact, we are headed to Mineral Wells this weekend for some tent camping, hiking, and climbing!

I like to sit on my porch and listen to music in the evenings. We also plan the majority of our weekend trips (camping, urban exploring, lake trips) during the spring time. "In winter, I plot and plan. In spring, I move." – Henry Rollins
I love planting my fruits, vegetables, and herbs and watching them grow. My blackberry bush started out as a little twig and has grown into a huge vine, and last year, we had a tomato explosion. I couldn’t give away my tomatoes fast enough! My husband and I made homemade salsa with all of our extra tomatoes.

I love driving around and looking at all the Texas wildflowers that are in bloom. We always take pictures with the bluebonnets.
– Christina McEwen
Spring is my absolute favorite time of the year! The birds are singing, the weather is beautiful, and everything is blooming! I love visiting local nurseries, planting a ridiculous amount of flowers, and getting started on our vegetable garden.
– Brandi Haslam
After being cooped up in the winter, we get to enjoy all the parks around our neighborhood with our kids. Our 2-year-old even knows which ones he wants to go to: “the helicopter” park, the “firetruck” park, or the “blue school bus” park.
– Jake Myers
I love purging all the junk in my house and making some quick extra cash, so I always look forward to my neighborhood’s community-wide garage sale. Everyone hosts their own sale, but there ends up being about 30 houses with sales all on the same day. It brings in some great traffic!

It's great baseball weather, and I get to go watch my son play baseball a lot. It's also great weather for going on picnics and doing anything outside like planting flowers and working in my garden.
– Jennifer Dawson
We love spending time at the ranch. With the weather warming back up, it gives my husband and me an opportunity to spend more time down at the river. We bring our dogs and a huge cooler full of food and camp out for the day and grill while the dogs play in the Brazos River.

My husband and I love going to our local farmers market, and now that the weather is nice, we're excited to take our four-month-old son for the first time!
